Marjorie is a partner in the firm of Murphy McElligott where she specialises in conveyancing and property law generally. She qualified as a solicitor in 1979 and worked for almost twenty years in the property department of two of the largest legal firms in Dublin before co-founding Murphy McElligott in1999. Marjorie is a former member of the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society of Ireland and a council member of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association where she chaired its Conveyancing Committee. She also served as a member of the Private Residential Tenancies Board. She is currently a member of Solicitors for the Elderly Ireland. Marjorie has tutored and lectured in conveyancing and landlord and tenant law.
